When I first saw this recipe, I suddenly felt hungry, did you feel the same way as I did? No problem at all, this is one of the very easy dishes in preparation and the whole process from start to end, it takes no more than 30 minutes and you get the taste you want exactly. I will not hide you secretly that you will not need to make any cleaning efforts after cooking this meal!

It is one of my favorite recipes, and I will teach you it in the easiest possible way, step by step. We will come together to learn the most delicious ingredients that consist of it and how we can reach the original taste of it with less effort and zero experience in cooking.

How do I choose shrimps for cooking with vegetables:

I always recommend using wild shrimp for that cultured farm, in order to ensure that shrimp are free of any chemicals or antibiotics that are used in shrimp farming operations (there are healthy and good types of shrimp cultured but you need to be aware of the product and make sure that it is free of chemicals).

Also, there is absolutely no objection to using frozen shrimps with this recipe, as it will not differ much from the fresh in taste, as fresh shrimps are not available close to the home of many of you, so why are you tired in searching for it! You can try frozen wild red shrimp.

Red shrimp tastes like crab and gives a beautiful color above all.

Vegetables used with shrimps in this recipe:

I use zucchini and sweet pepper in this recipe. These vegetables have the same cooking time and work well together. However, you can use asparagus, onions, okra, or green beans to your liking and your own taste.

Seasoning used with shrimps and vegetables:

You can use the Cajun and Paprika spice mixture in this recipe. (Please make sure you have sweet, not hot, peppers so you don't hate this recipe because of the heat).

How to make Cajun shrimp with vegetables:

Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

Place the shrimp in a medium bowl and add Cajun spices, paprika, salt and olive oil. Mix well.

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 6 to 7 minutes or until tender. Take the shrimp out of the pan and set aside.

To the same pan, add garlic, butter and vegetables. Season with salt and stir for 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Return the shrimp to the same pan, stir well, and garnish with parsley. Then apply hot.

What do you serve with shrimp and vegetables:

This tasty dish can be served as is, with some peeled bread on the side. It will blend well with cooked rice, quinoa and pasta if you like it too.

You can store this shrimp skillet and vegetables in the refrigerator and you will taste the same great taste the next day as if you had just prepared it now. And heating will not take more than a few minutes on the fingers of one hand!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 small zucchini
  • 2 small yellow squash
  • 3 small bell peppers of any color
  • 3 tablespoons. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon. Red pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp. Cajun flavoring
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Place the shrimp in a medium bowl and add Cajun spices, paprika, salt and olive oil. Mix well.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 6 to 7 minutes or until tender. Take the shrimp out of the pan and set aside.

Notes

* You can add whatever vegetables you want, such as green beans, peas, okra or onions, according to your own desire.
** You can add a little Cajun spice and try the taste before using the specifications above.
*** You can remove cajun seasoning from the recipe, it will be different taste but still very delicious.
