Are you wondering how to ideally boil shrimp? Boiling is also ideal for a shrimp cocktail, soft and smooth juice every time

Shrimps cook quickly. The secret is to take them out before they turn the rubber and cool them to stop the cooking process. You'll get ready in under 5 minutes!

Boiling shrimp is one amazing dinner. Although boiling shrimp in an entire low country contains more than just shrimp, including potatoes, corn and sausage as part of boiling, of course any ingredients you choose to add to the recipe need to be boiled.

What is better for tasting frozen or fresh shrimp?

Usually I can buy fresh shrimp in my area and it gives an indescribable taste, but if you only have frozen shrimp then there is no problem at all, because frozen shrimp can still lead to peel and eat shrimp with a great taste and has a very good feel.

If you bought frozen shrimp, make sure to thaw first before boiling. Thawing should not take long and you can speed it up by sticking the shrimp into a colander under running cold water. It will thaw in no time!

Do I add spices when boiling?

You can use all kinds of different spice blends. Old Bay Seasoning, Zatarain's Shrimp Boil and Slap Ya Mama Shrimp Boil are all great and provide a great flavor to shrimp peel and eat.

Unfortunately, it may be difficult to find some of those spices. So, always try making your own spice mixture to boil shrimp.

Throw away lots of different spices including bay leaves, salt, coarse black pepper, dried hot pepper flakes, celery seeds and more. I also toss a few garlic cloves as well.

Boil a large amount of water while boiling all the spices. Bring it to a boil for a few minutes as this allows the spice to leak into the water.

This works with all types of shrimp. Gulf shrimp, black tiger shrimp, white shrimp, rock shrimp and others all work great. It's okay if the shrimp is still on its head, or if the head has been removed and the shrimp removed.

Personally, I prefer to use shrimp that has been removed from the head but the crust is still running. Sometimes I buy the type in which the shell splits and shrimp passes. These work very well and are very simple to remove the peel as soon as it is cooked.

How long do shrimp boil?

I empty the shrimp by hand. Since the water is boiling too much, and I don't want a big splash of boiling water, I find putting a few shrimp in the bowl works better.

Don't be late, because shrimp cooking doesn't take long at all.

I keep grabbing a bunch and gently putting it in the water until all the shrimp is in the pot.

Within a few minutes, some shrimp turns pink and floats upward. This is a cooked shrimp indicator.

The pink floating shrimp is done on all sides and ready to be removed from the bowl.

Serve with your favorite cocktail sauce or use it in any recipe that calls for cooked shrimp, like shrimp sauce.
