Garlic grilled shrimp is the perfect item on the grill. Especially for skewers! Just a simple marinade in the marinade and give you the taste of kebabs with delicious shrimp taco!


This is one of the recipes for excursions that make summer easier as it is more enjoyable in winter (because I love the barbecue itself and standing in front of the grill)! Serve as a main course or even as a snack for guests to dine alongside what you've cooked for this fun meeting!

Marinated grilled shrimp

The main goal of the marinade is the delicacy of the meat and feeding it with delicious herbs and spices. Filled with garlic, lemon, herbs and other fresh spices, this shrimp is created to create a delicious refreshing flavor!

Since shrimp is very soft, seasoning and cooking takes only minutes compared to other proteins, so it is important not to over-season!

How to grill garlic grilled shrimp

If the marinade is prepared before the appointed time, do not throw into the shrimp until 20 minutes before preparing to cook to ensure that it does not over wet (which makes it tender)!

Combine everything in a bowl and soak 20 minutes.

Heat the grill to medium heat.

Thread the shrimp over skewers and grill 2 to 3 minutes each side. Remove from skewers and place in a serving bowl.

Drizzle with garlic butter and a mixture of fresh lemon juice!

Should we soak skewers

If the skewers you use are made of wood, you will not need to soak them so that you do not start the fire from the grill (or oven or broiler) before the meat is done cooking.

It doesn't take long to soak a skewer. The wooden skewers will be completely covered (of any length) while the shrimp is soaked with the trick!

Do not grill your shrimp for a long time

Shrimp is an easy cook all year round because it not only has a mild flavor that suits many different cuisines (Italian, Thai, Japanese and American), but it only takes minutes to cook! Only until the meat is no longer transparent and barely reaching the morsel, you should go.

Excessive shrimp will lead to a rubbery result (very sad when this happens)! Make sure to remove shrimp from any heat source that you cook as soon as it's pink!

What do you serve with shrimp

Grilled shrimp and garlic pairs perfect in taco with grated lettuce and pico de gallo. Try grilled shrimps on a layer of lettuce with red onion slices and a refreshing vinegar sauce for a delicious salad!

Garlic Grilled Shrimp Easy Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup melted olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced basil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Half a teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 pound peeled shrimp and deveined
  • Lemon wedges

Garlic butter

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk. Leave the shrimp seasoned for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Heat the grill to medium heat.
  3. Shrimp placed on skewers and grill 2-3 minutes each side. Remove from skewers and place in a serving bowl.
  4. Sprinkle with garlic butter and serve warm with lemon wedges if desired.
