How to Make Shrimp Toast Golden at Home

Shrimp toast is the best appetizer you can serve alongside any meal, it is golden and crunchy and does not stop eating after the first bite!


I was reading one of the famous websites for recipes and suddenly I remembered that I had not cooked this recipe from shrimp toast before, which made me want to accept this challenge, I did not know that it was very easy to cook and prepare at home nor did it take the time I envisioned.

The recipe starts with shrimp mousse which is actually just a few ingredients in the food processor (you can control the ingredients as desired). Then spread it on toast, dip and fry bread crumbs. And you are finished. So easy, or not!

When you follow the steps written here for this recipe it becomes clear to you that you enjoy cooking more than taste (if you like me like these simple things), the outside surface is crunchy, the interior is filled with a soft shrimp mix. I can't believe I haven't thought of doing this sooner. I will definitely make it again.

Shrimp Toast at Home Easy Recipe

Ingredients

  • Half a pound of shrimp peeled and wrapped
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 5 slices of white bread scales and cut them into triangles (4 triangles for each slice of bread)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • frying oil

Instructions

  1. Mix shrimp, eggs, and salt in a food mixer until they are mostly soft, although some lumps in the shrimp mousse are fine. Add in spring onions and pulse again only until green onions are combined.
  2. Shrimp mousse spread over each triangle, making sure to spread evenly.
  3. Add oil to the frying pan, about 1 inch deep. Bring the oil to a medium high heat. Shrimp mousse side of toast dipped in bread crumbs, covering shrimp mousse. Heat the toasted bread in hot oil, then saute the shrimp side. When it's golden, turn it to the other side and fry until the side of the toast becomes golden as well. You can cook a few at a time. Warm service. You can garnish fresh herbs like green onions or parsley.

Notes

* The recipe is taken from several recipes I found on the Internet and I added my own touch to it.
** You can add some hot spices to make shrimp toast hot or not, depending on your desire.
*** You can control the percentage of added salt, according to your desire.
**** This recipe is for pure classic shrimp toast, add as many ingredients as you want and mix well with shrimp mousse mixture during preparation.
