Shrimp and pasta cooked today will not leave your family for a week. On days like this I tend to make recipes of this kind, because nothing beats the taste of fresh pasta. However, most days call for a quick and easy dinner, so dried pasta from the store is good.

Many haven't tried cajun spices, and although the food gets a little hot, you simply won't be able to resist the fact that a fried shrimp recipe with pasta in a creamy sauce was created to toon with cajun spices!

How to make shrimp cajun pasta:

This is really a quick and easy dinner recipe, ideal for days when you are busy. With little measure and no chopping, the entire recipe can be cooked as long as the pasta cook takes. This means that in 10-15 minutes, you can eat a full meal.

This recipe starts to boil pasta in salted water. It is important to use a full tablespoon of salt in the pasta water because the salt will cook well. Before filtering pasta, be sure to reserve some pasta water to loosen the sauce later, if necessary.

While cooking pasta, stir the shrimp. They will cook quickly over a relatively high heat. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside, then use the same pan to make the sauce.

Cajun Cream Sauce is simply a mixture of heavy cream that you prepare to boil and Parmesan cheese that melts in a soft cream. There is enough Cajun seasoning on the shrimp and in the pan to give the sauce a lot of flavor. The sauce condenses within minutes and then simply throws it all together to serve it out.

Since this recipe is rich and heavy, the pasta dish is great with vegetables of some kind. Either a healthy green salad or a side of steamed broccoli or spinach goes well with this dinner. What kind of shrimp is better with Cajun pasta:

For myself, I prefer large shrimp with this recipe, perhaps for my great love for it. But the small shrimp beads give the same taste in the mouth if you are looking for the original taste.

Also, the easiest for me is to buy frozen shrimp, and luck is no different between using it than using fresh shrimp.

Cajun Shrimp Pasta Easy Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 8 oz noodle us
  • 1 pound of raw shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons of cajun seasoning (* see note below)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Half a cup of Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Add salt to the pot of water and bring to a boil. Cook pasta. Before draining, pull at least half a cup of cooking water. Filter pasta and set aside.
  2. While cooking pasta, cook shrimp and sauce. Mix shrimp with cajun seasoning and olive oil in a bowl. Toss the combination.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and melt. Add shrimp in one layer and cook until golden brown on each side, then rotate only once. You may have to cook the shrimp in two batches to allow enough space. Once cooking is done, transfer the cooked shrimp to a clean dish and reduce the heat to a low medium.
  4. Add heavy cream to the pan and scrape the bottoms to release any food stuck to the bottom. Let the cream bubble. Reduce the heat to a low degree and stir the parmesan cheese until it melts. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp and stir the mixture. If the sauce needs to be weakened, add pasta water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is achieved.

Notes

* Many find a problem with the percentage of salt in the flavor of cajun. If you use cajun spices made with your hand, this will turn out to be absolutely delicious. If you are using a store that bought a cajun spice mixture, which probably contains much more salt than the one I use in my recipes, you should start with a small amount, taste it, and keep adding it to your liking. (In a separate topic, I will explain how to mix cajun spices easily and keep them in your closet for all recipes)
